Join us for the launch of the Non-GMO Project Standard Version 17, effective October 1, 2026. During this informative webinar we’ll discuss prominent Standard updates, including:
- Clarifications to the definition of a GMO to address the complexities of new genomic techniques.
- Sugarcane moved from Monitored Risk to Non-Testable High Risk, with compliance required beginning in 2028.
- Prohibition of certain Biological Compounds produced through emerging Biotechnology applications.
- Decreased frequency of onsite inspection for some eligible Producing Facilities.
- Removal of the Monitored Risk list from the Standard and new resources for tracking the GMO landscape.
Participation requirements removed from the Standard and moved to Program Rules and Procedures.
This is a great opportunity to understand how the Non-GMO Project continues to monitor the GMO landscape and respond to public comment.
